Feed the Children and Speedway Children's Charities to Help North Carolina Children and Families
On Tuesday, August 7, Feed The Children, in partnership with Speedway Children’s Charities and Speedway Children’s Charities Charlotte Motor Speedway Chapter, will distribute two truckloads of food and essentials to help 800 families. The distribution will begin at 10 a.m. at the Salvation Army Christmas Center (Victory Christian Church, 801 East Arrowhead Rd.) and is part of a nationwide effort by Feed The Children and Speedway Children’s Charities to help families in need.
Feed The Children partner agency The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte has pre-identified the 800 families who will each receive a 25-pound box of food and a box of personal care items. The items distributed by volunteers are designed to help a family of four for a week.
This year, Feed The Children and Speedway Children’s Charities will deliver an estimated 540,000 pounds of food and supplies to those in need on behalf of Charlotte Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, KentuckySpeedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Infineon Raceway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, New Hampshire MotorSpeedwayand Texas Motor Speedway. In all, Feed The Children’s distributions in partnership with Speedway Children’s Charities will reach 10,800 families.
