Taylor and Tyler are twin brothers who attend the Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County's After School Program. Now fifth graders, they have attended the program since the first grade. Like the other dozens of children that attend the program from Rocky River Elementary, Taylor and Tyler are able to come to the Boys & Girls Club only because it provides transportation from their school.

The boys love participating in the myriad of activities that the After School Program has to offer, including the Power Hour Homework Club and the Smart Guys social and life skills Club. Additionally, Taylor and Tyler are very athletic and participate in the Club's football and basketball programs. The family would have other sports programs from which to choose but it selects the Boys & Girls Club's programs partly because of their convenience. Since their mother, a single parent, does not get off work until later in the afternoon, the boys are able to simply transition from the After School Program to the football and basketball programs without having to leave the facility.

The Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County has been receiving generous funding from Speedway Children's Charities since they began approving grants. The most recent grant awards have helped to provide transportation to the Club daily from thirteen Cabarrus County schools. Speedway Children's Charities has made a remarkable impact on the children of the Boys & Girls Club. Without their caring generosity, we would be unable to fulfill our mission here in Cabarrus County.
