Speedway Children's Charities to Visit Levine Children's Hospital NHRA Drag Racer Doug Herbert to Greet Kids
Monday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m.
Doug Herbert, NHRA Top Fuel drag racer, and volunteers from the Speedway Children's Charities Charlotte chapter will visit with children at the Levine Children's Hospital. The group will distribute gifts and goodies donated by corporate sponsors, including AutoTrader.com, Aflac, Aramark, CARFAX, Crocs, Motorsports Authentics and Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies. The visit is a part of Speedway Children's Charities national "Holiday of Smiles" initiative, which has each local chapter reaching out to bring smiles to the faces of young hospitalized children.
Members of the media are invited to attend the gift distribution, which will also include an appearance by Lugnut, the world's fastest mascot.
Refreshments will be served.

Speedway Children's Charities Family Lounge on the eighth floor of the Levine Children's Hospital. The hospital is located at 1000 Blythe Blvd., on the main campus of Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
